re ice breaking
Suitable equipment is supplied for breaking ice. Even though we have tried to meet anglers needs during this unusual & unprecedented cold snap, while most other fisheries at the time were closing their gates, we feel that this was an unfair comment to make. A decision has now been made that if the lakes start to freeze and the ice is of a certain thickness no attempt by ourselves will be made to keep the water free for fishing. We apologise to any anglers who read this but we will be following the example of other fisheries in the near future. If any angler has any comment on the way we have tried to keep the water free, we would rather you speak to us personally at the fishery. we are always keen to listen to suggestions & comments made by anglers, to see how we can improve our service as we feel we already give a good service at Redhill Fishery. Assuring you are attention at all times.
P.S During this cold snap every angler/club who came to fish during that period were informed on a daily basis, on the conditions of the water and if ice had to be broken, it is then up to the angler/club to decide whether they come to Redhill to fish.....We feel we did as much as we possibly could under the circumstances or more so than many waters in the area.
(The Equipment supplied is heavy duty ropes with large chains attached, what other equipment is there for breaking ice on a fishery, please let us know ??????)
