Visiting for the 1st time tomorrow with my 11yr old Son & 18yr old nephew(Who is a frequent visitor)..

Looking forward to it, as it's only the 2nd Fishery I've been to, since starting back up Angling seriously after a 20yr gap!

I got my Son to thank for getting me all interested in Fishing again..

Hello there looking to come fishing here soon and had a few questions about the rules :-)

No Braided Line or Hook Links - Just wondering why, this is the first place i have seen with this ban. Though this was standard carp fishing gear.

No Fixed Rigs (i.e. Method Feeders - Inline Free Running Method Feeders are acceptable) No fixed rigs fair enough, can you use semi-fixed with safety clips eg http://www.uncutfishing.co.uk/korda_clip.html?

All Feeders & Leads Must Be Free Running ...

This may sound very naive but I am coming back to fishing after a lay off of some 30 years. I have joined a local angling club with a superb lake but I do not know how deep it is. Can someone help me understand the method to use to determine depth. I prefer usually to leger but the locals tell me float fishing is better on this pond.
